Despite Dunsborough’s very popular status as a tourist destination, it has fortunately not reached the international or even national scale. The city has become a popular hotspot for Perth locals on weekends and holidays, but the rest of the world has yet to enter this secret gem of southwestern Australia. As a result, you can still expect to find secluded beaches and beautiful spots all to yourself. Today we will take you to discover the best things to do and see in Dunsborough.
Beach Hop
Even though there are so many gorgeous beaches in Western Australia, I swear there is nothing like the beaches around Cape Naturaliste. While it’s definitely a vacation spot, luckily it hasn’t achieved the celebrity status you’d expect from beautiful white sand and pristine waters. The coastal road between Meelup Beach and Eagle Bay offers numerous beaches and breathtaking views that are worth exploring. For the cleanest blue water, be sure to head to Bunker Bay, while Point Piquet is quaint and often secluded.
Brunch
Nothing says a vacation like a lazy morning filled with good company and even better food. Brunch is a favorite activity in Dunsborough, as indicated by the large number of brunch cafes and restaurants. The Goanna Cafe is located in the Quindalup bush but well worth it. Make sure you try their Indo breakfast – it’s phenomenal. A couple of other favorites include Canteen Kitchen and Yallingup General Store.
