What to see in Mexico
Mexico has strong and bright colors, between contrasting emotions and almost always irresistible emotions: as the splendor and drama of its millenary history, one of the ancient Maya or one of the most recent Spanish conquerers, and the supreme national independence. Cozumel
The largest green and blue island in Mexico is immersed in the Caribbean Sea, about 20 kilometers from the coast and the Yucatan peninsula. Most of his population is concentrated in the city of San Miguel and the rest is mainly virgin forest. There are the remains of the Maya villages and the island museum attests their ancient history. Another attraction is Parque Punta Sur, a protected area in the southern part of the island. You can also visit the remains of pre-Columbian buildings here: Caracol is a stone building built between 1200 and 1400 to commemorate the birth and beauty of the goddess. Due to the particular construction of the walls, in the case of strong wind, the cracks hissed: the sirens warned the cozumel inhabitants of an imminent tropical hurricane.
Mérida
Starting from the center, it governs the Yucatan peninsula near the Gulf of Mexico. For the same reason, it is also an ideal base for day trips to the archaeological sites and the UNESCO nature reserves, where the fauna and the villages, such as Valladolid and Izamar, are known...
