Alpine-Inspired Comfort Food From Côte This Winter
Getting away for a ski holiday may be a little more tricky this year. So for those unable to make it to the slopes, Côte is bringing a taste of the Alps to 84 locations across the UK with a new Alpine-inspired menu. And its highlight" A melty, indulgent, cheesy Tartiflette a favourite apres ski indulgence!
French Mountain Fare
Inspired by Parisian brasseries, Côte first opened in Wimbledon in 2007, later expanding to 83 further sites around the country. Now the brand is introducing classic French Alpine dishes, created by the chain?s executive chef, to all its restaurants. The pièce de résistance is the new Tartiflette: a gratin of sliced potatoes, Comté cheese and smoked bacon lardons topped with creamy, melted farmhouse Reblochon cheese. Served on a wooden board, the dish comes with a fresh crusty baguette, piquant cornichons, a high-quality Jambon de Savoie, and a fresh green salad.
The UK First-Ever Vegan Tartiflette
In recognition of Veganuary and an increasing appetite for plant-based cuisine, Côte has also included a vegan version of the Tartiflette. A dairy and meat-free take on the classic recipe, it?s made using vegan cheese and THIS Isn’t Bacon. Vegan diners will also love the new Chou Farci: a cabbage parcel filled with lentils, roasted root vegetables and apple, served with crispy Lyonnaise potatoes and a Calvados jus.
More Alpine-Inspired Dishes
The seasonal menu also includes Crottin de Chèvre, a starter made of war...
