Art and the digital age collide in London’s Mayfair district
London again proves that it is truly the ‘centre of everything’ especially when it comes to the modern art movement
A new and unique art show descends on London where artistic imagery meets the cold efficiency of the digital age.
Some of the greatest works of art were solely inspired by the artists raw emotions. The Art Below Summer Show affords a great opportunity for artists to really convey their true feelings and relationship to the digital age. 25 select artists will be given a empty canvas to express in colour and images how they feel about the current technical environment we live in. The finished works will be on display at the Herrick Gallery in Mayfair from June 26th to July 1st, 2018.
Standout pieces will be transformed into billboards for display at the Hyde Park Corner Tube Station in mid-June. These unique interpretive installations will add to the charm that is London’s Tube System. One of the more anticipated creations will come from German figurative artist Detlef Aderhold. His distinct ability to bring life to the canvas through his figurative and abstract themes is sure to create emotional tension in exhibitors with this particular project. As an artists, he and the other 24 are sure to have strong and varied emotional responses and opinions regarding ‘the digital age’.
