With so many amazing restaurants to try out in Montreal, Canada, it can be difficult to find one that stands out from the pack but there is definitely one that fits the bill of an extraordinary dining experience, Le Passé Composé. It isn?t so much the experience, as it is the food itself. A line of people waiting to get a table is always a good sign since most people would rather go elsewhere rather than wait in a line to eat. This alone tells me that there is something worth waiting for and this was certainly true when it came to the food at Le Passé Composé.
There are some who have to spend a lot of money on their restaurant décor so that you?re so impressed with it that you don?t realize that they are serving mediocre food. I?m happy to say that this is completely the opposite of what Le Passé Composé does. It?s clear that the owner/chef Arnaud Glay is far more concerned with the food that he prepares than the appearance of the restaurant. Le Passé Composé is a small-quaint local Village restaurant in an old building with character and charm. It is also warm and inviting. With just 85 seats indoor and 45 seats outdoor it has quickly become the brunch spot often chosen by locals and visitors of Montreal. You?ll only have to dine at Le Passé Composé once to understand why.
