Bugatti’s Type 35 race car, which won a whopping 2,000 professional and amateur races, is lauded as the world’s most successful race car of all time. And in 1926, the brand’s founder Ettore and his son Jean decided to build a small-scale version for the family’s youngest child, Roland. Now, to celebrate the car manufacturer’s 110th anniversary, they’re reviving that legendary children’s car with a follow-up called the Bugatti Baby II.

Unlike the original, which was a 1/2-scale version, this one is a bit bigger – measuring up at 3/4 of the size of the original Type 35. That means it’s actually large enough for some adults to drive. As such, the car has two modes for its RWD battery-powered powertrain (another nod to the original): a 1kW ‘child mode’ with a 12mph speed limit and a 4kW ‘adult mode’ that can go up to 28mph. Of course, for those who want even more juice, the brand offers a Speed Key upgrade that takes off the electronic limitation and lets you access the full 10kW of engine power. It also boasts regenerative braking, a limited-slip differential, and exceptional detailing from nose to tail. Only 500 of these rides are to be made on a first-come-first-served basis, so you’d better act quickly if you want to get behind the wheel of this $33,000 beauty.
