We’re always on the hunt for great gifts to send to friends and clients, and that’s why we’re so excited when we discovered Try The World,  a unique gourmet subscription box service that brings the discovery of a new destination to your doorstep every two months.One of our favorite parts about traveling is locating new favorite foods and products in local markets and shops, but we’re often disappointed when we can’t located hard-to-find gourmet items back home.That’s where Try The World comes in, selecting specialty foods and recipe ingredients from local experts and celebrity chefs and packaging them direct to your door.Founded in 2013 by Kat Vorotova, a New York foodie born in Russia, and David Foult, a French globetrotter, the duo wanted to found a company that combined their passion for traveling and discovering great food and new cultures.We had the opportunity to try the recent “Portugal” box, curated by Portuguese-American chef George Mendes, currently nominated to win the James Beard Award for 2016 Best New York Chef.
