Chopard’s latest timepiece celebrates an iconic Monte Carlo road race
Monte Carlo is home to the biggest race on the F1 Circuit and provides the track for another classic auto race, The Grand Prix de Monaco Historique.

Held every two years, this race brings classic sports cars such as Bugatti, Alfa Romeo, Porsche and McLaren together on the track to battle for sports car supremacy.
The Historique recently celebrated its 10th running and luxury watchmaker Chopard has marked the milestone with a new series of timepieces that will become as collectible as the cars in the race it pays homage to.
Chopard offers two distinct finishes of its limited run Grand Prix de Monaco Historique 2016 Race Edition wristwatch. A shotblasted titanium series allotted to 500 units and an exclusive 18K rose gold case limited to only 100 watches. The Race Edition is just at home on the track as it is at a cocktail party with the two interchangeable straps included. The rugged NATO band gives the timepiece a serious precision look while the Barenia calfskin strap compliments the end of any tuxedo. The bands keep the race infuence running with striping and pipe stitching reminiscent of vintage race cars.
Both models proudly display a raised Automobile Club de Monaco logo on their back plates. Automobile style tamper proof bolts secure the plate to the case. A bold LIMITED EDITION and the number in the series are stamped at the top and bottom of the case back.
