Noted golf course designer Jay Morrish took on the task of designing Stone Canyon with an idea not to obliterate the desert setting but to work within it.Stone Canyon offers a variety of real estate, from custom homesites to semi-custom homes and “lock and leave” homes. Built in 2009, this contemporary four-bedroom home mirrors the drama of its desert setting. With over 7,000 square feet, the challenge to the designers was to create a home that was both grand and intimate.The extremes of the desert are reflected by a  finely tuned balance that offers an interplay between open and light spaces, and more intimate areas for smaller gatherings.
