Barcelona-based Hebar has manufactured an intriguing multi-functional Wood Stove ($TBA) for both heating & cooking.  Catering especially to the Mediterranean cooking style this stove provides not only an oven, but surface cooking and a special contained chamber for barbecue as well.
With external air intake, double burning, and dual controls, it can retain heat for 3 hours after the last fuel loading.  The oven section is vitrified steel and houses both a steel tray and steel grill.  It has front ash removal and the lower hinged door helps prevent soiling when depositing the grill. Sounds like the ideal choice for a large open concept kitchen/dining room.
