Hennessey’s H700 Corvette C8 Redefines Hypercar Boundaries
In a recent unveiling, Hennessey Performance Engineering, the acclaimed American hypercar manufacturer and tuning specialist, introduced an exhilarating enhancement for the Chevrolet Corvette C8, marking a significant upgrade with the H700 supercharger package. This advancement is not limited to the coupe version; the droptop Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray Hard Top Convertible (HTC) has also received this remarkable upgrade, offering an unmatched blend of open-air exhilaration and formidable performance.
The H700 package transforms the Corvette C8’s already potent LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine, elevating its capabilities with a high-performance supercharger tailored to fit the compact engine compartment of the HTC model. This system integrates seamlessly with a new air induction setup and an air-to-water intercooler, further enhanced by recalibrated engine management software. The result is a staggering increase in power, with the engine delivering 44% more horsepower and 37% more torque. This boost equates to an additional 200 horsepower, culminating in 708 horsepower and 638 ft-lbs of torque.
