Incredible Roger Dubuis? Excalibur Huracán STO
Swiss luxury watchmaker Roger Dubuis is back in our attention with a new jaw dropping timepiece, that might just be the most extreme interpretation of a Lamborghini design to date. The sporty livery of the power-packed Lamborghini Huracán STO served as the main source of inspiration for this special project, which is why the watch was designed following careful consideration of every line and technical spec of the road-homologated super machine.
An automotive superlative, the road-legal Huracán STO was actually inspired by the racing heritage of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s one-make Huracán Super Trofeo EVO race series, and features a rear-wheel drive and a V10 naturally-aspirated engine, that sends 640 ponies through the shaft, taking this beast towards a top speed of 310 km/h.
The 45-mm sleek carbon case of the Excalibur Huracán STO comes complemented by a black DLC titanium bezel and houses an automatic RD630 calibre, with a honeycomb motif. The superb 12° angled balance wheel, combined with a 360° oscillating weight, results in a dynamic effect that might make your head spin ? just like a Huracán would.
The upper calibre was designed to show off a strut-bar reminiscent of what drivers of the V10 engine of the Lamborghini Huracán supercar will find under the hood. Finishing everything off is an elegant leather strap with perforated blue calfskin leather and lovely orange details...
