Toyota’s Marine Department and the Motor Corporation recently conspired to join forces for creating a premium performance yacht that can match the Lexus brand on the water as well as it has the road. Their first proof-of-concept release has just arrived.
The Lexus Sport Yacht Concept ($NA) has dual 5.0 liter V8 high performance motors based on the Lexus 2UR-GSE land engine, pushing 440 horsepower and reaching a top speed of about 50 mph. The feature loaded captain’s helm is run through a full color touch screen which includes such necessities as GPS navigation, surface radar, underwater sonar, lighting & entertainment systems. Below deck, the opulent passenger cabin is resplendent in wood, leather, and glass.  There is a fully functioning head with shower and a sofa able to seat six.  The hull design is a seamless composite polyurethane epoxy resin, reinforced with hand-laid woven carbon fiber cloth. There’s no word on pricing for this luxurious yacht, nor if it’ll ever reach production, so for now, you’ll have to spend your hard-earned cash on other dinghies.
