Luxury Automobiles with Edgar Broyhill
James Schiller loves his life. He laughingly describes it as ?excessive and decadent,? with an unmistakable twinkle in his eye. After working diligently for years to reach a position of prominence in his law firm (and waiting patiently for his business investments to pay off), James is taking full advantage of the life he has made for himself.  
While his lovely wife, Abigail, collects vintage Tiffany jewelry, James collects fine automobiles. ?We don?t fight about our finances, just over who gets to drive,? he says with a grin.
On a recent visit, I had a chance to test-drive a few of Schiller?s gleaming toys. The collection consists of everything from Italian supercars to classic American hot rods. James claims he doesn?t play favorites, but he admits he?s been driving a certain electric roadster with increasing delight. ?There?s a reason I purchased every one of these beauties,? James says, patting the hood of a vintage Ferrari. ?Sure, they?re high-quality, top-of-the-line, and super fast? but driving them just makes me feel like I?m on top of the world.?
I?m pleased to say I had a hand in the purchase of several of the specimens in James?s 28-wheeled collection. I?ve introduced him to other collectors over the years, and I was at hand to put him in touch with all the best dealers each time he started eyeing his next acquisition.
