?Luxury travelers want adventure, sustainability in 2016, Wealth-X says
Today?s luxury traveler is looking for a bit of adventure and a new kind of commitment from hoteliers: A commitment to sustainability and transparency.
Wealth-X, an online publication and market research company, offers insight into what ultra high net worth individuals are seeking when they travel this year.
According to its 2016 top luxury travel trends, luxury travelers are increasingly seeking outdoor activities to complement their luxury experience.
Tourists increasingly opt for destinations ?off the beaten path,? whether it?s a yacht excursion in the Pacific, rather than popular Mediterranean and Caribbean destinations, or an Alaskan lodge that offers camping or homestay nights, Wealth-X reports. The ultra high net worth individual is also looking for the lodging company?s commitment to environmentally friendly practices and transparency about its supply chain. They?re also interested in collaborations between luxury brands and artists. Prada?s collaboration with Wes Anderson, for example, can be a strategic way for companies to expand their reach and engagement.
