Nestled in the scenic Lavasan area of Tehran, the Villa Calm project emerges as a beacon of modern architecture, skillfully designed by Ufo Studio. Under the guidance of the renowned architect Bahman Behzadi, this project unfolds across a sprawling garden of 3200 square meters, offering a sanctuary from the bustling city life.
The villa itself spans 520 square meters over two meticulously planned floors. The ground floor houses the main communal spaces, designed for seamless interaction and functionality. As one ascends to the first floor, they are greeted by expansive sleeping quarters, each crafted to provide privacy while maximizing comfort.
A unique aspect of the Villa Calm’s design is its central positioning within the garden, surrounded by nature on all sides. This placement is not just aesthetic but strategic, complying with local building standards that permit openings on all four sides of the structure. Such an arrangement ensures ample natural light and offers unobstructed views of the lush surroundings.
The topography of the site presents a relatively steep slope, which the design team has turned into a creative advantage. The main body of the villa perches atop the slope, allowing residents to enjoy elevated views. The entrance and the pool area, on the other hand, are cleverly integrated into the slope itself, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetics of the villa.
