Omega’s Speedmaster Goes Bold with White Dial ‘Daniel Craig’ Edition
Omega has recently introduced a striking new addition to its esteemed collection, the Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional White Dial, colloquially referred to as the ?Daniel Craig.? This introduction follows a series of teasers and leaks, including a notable sighting on Daniel Craig’s wrist last year, fueling anticipation and speculation among enthusiasts and collectors alike.
The watch maintains the classic specifications of its predecessors, including a 42 mm x 13.2 mm stainless steel case with a lug-to-lug measurement of 47.5 mm, and a weight of 140 grams when fitted with the bracelet. Designed to cater to modern demands, it boasts a 50 meters water resistance and is offered exclusively with a sapphire crystal, setting aside the traditional Hesalite option.
At its heart, the watch is powered by the Omega caliber 3861, a manual wind METAS-certified Master Chronometer. This movement, featuring Omega’s proprietary Co-Axial escapement and a free-sprung balance wheel with a silicon spring, ensures resistance against magnetic fields up to 15,000 gausses. The caliber 3861 operates at 3Hz and offers a power reserve of 50 hours. Its chronograph mechanism, viewable through the sapphire caseback, showcases a cam-operated system with a horizontal clutch, presented with a rhodium-plated finish and Geneva stripes on its bridges.
