Smuggler’s Cove is a special place on Washington’s Whidbey Island offering a peaceful view overlooking the lagoon, the Sound and the Olympics beyond. This special place at one point served as a transit point for Chinese immigrants heading for Seattle, but wanting to avoid the immigration station at Pt. Townsend.Later the land was logged by a company called Pope & Talbot in the late 1920s or early ?30s.The three-bedroom home was built to maximize views and blend quietly with the land and so a traditional Craftsman style was selected.
