TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Polychrome
TAG Heuer presented the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Polychrome , a special edition of the premier complication model in the brand’s portfolio.
Based on the innovative Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Nanograph presented in 2019, this model comes in a 45 mm case made of ultra-lightweight and resistant fine brushed black PVD Grade 5 titanium with a fixed carbon tachymeter bezel. Crown and push buttons are also made of black PVD Grade 5 titanium.
Protected by a domed, beveled sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, the skeletonised dial surprises for its rainbow colours.
To achieve the smooth and sophisticated vibrant color gradient, TAG Heuer worked closely with a partner specialized in vacuum deposition PVD treatments, and the only supplier in the world to offer this breakthrough finish, Positive Coating. Metallic oxides are deposited in infinitely thin transparent layers and their controlled and minute variations of thickness (a few nanometers) create the final gradual color spectrum.
The rhodium-plated blue chronograph sub-counters appears at 3 and 9 o’clock with black-gold-plated polished hands while, at 6 o’clock, the multicolored tourbillon takes central stage. The applied indexes and hands are rhodium-plated, with Super-LumiNova on the hour and minute hands.
