THE BLACKBOOK: An all aluminum classic with a storied history
When it comes to vintage cars as an investment vehicle (pun intended), the machines history plays an important factor in determining value and desirability. This particular (2095GT) Ferrari is one of the last in the series of short wheel based 250 GT’s that were built with an all aluminum body. While homolgated for the street, Ferrari’s intentions with the 2095GT were crystal clear, to dominate on the track.
The 2095GT was delivered in Italy in the summer of 1960 and has had storied ownership which details are available on request. In terms of winning, the 2095GT never realized the track domination it was set out for but did run in several key historical races finishing decently in some.
Originally the car was equipped with engine number 2095 which was a 3 litre V12 with a 3 carburetor configuration with a total power output of 260 horsepower. A class leader for the era.
2095GT currently has a 6 carburetor 250 GT Lusso engine in the bay but the original engine is included with the sale.
The body is original with meticulous restoration at key points and is an award winner. The 2095GT has been declared Concourse Condition by automotive experts and is available for acquisition. Worldwide delivery upon request.
