The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance continues to be the granddaddy of all car shows in the United States, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t several others worth visiting. Case in point, you’ll want to put the upcoming Elegance at Hershey on your calendar.Taking place next weekend June 10 through 12, the event is a celebration of fine cars for great causes ? and the founders hope to raise thousands of dollars for JDRF, the AACA Museum, and AACA Library & Research Center. In addition to The Elegance on Sunday, a juried event that will feature some of the finest examples of custom-coachwork Classics and unique sports/ racing and special interest vehicles with historical importance produced prior to 1960, there are several other events worth attending.The Grand Ascent, modeled after the Goodwood Festival of Speed, takes place on Friday and Saturday and competitors will be driving mostly pre-war cars sanctioned by the Vintage Sports Car Club of America.
