The Academia maintains a classic wind up power system with an upgraded double barrel 100 power reserve. A clever mechanical power meter sits at the 1 o’clock position and accurately displays the amount of reserve.
Enthusiasts who are familiar with the brand’s design elements will instantly recognize the sword shaped hour and minute hands as well as the raised textured bridge proudly displaying the DeWitt 2 color nameplate. The Academia displays some unique features that honor the complexity of automotive engineering. Aside from the 263 parts that make up the movement of the watch, a styled gear lies at the 11 o’clock position that is reminiscent of steering wheels from sports cars of the past.
