The Stockbridge Restaurant
The Stockbridge Restaurant is located on one of my favourite little streets in Edinburgh, St Stephens Street in beautiful Stockbridge. A family run business owned by Head Chef Jason and his partner Jane, the restaurant opened in 13 years ago and has become an established favourite for many in the city for those looking for a traditional fine dining experience. TLE went along recently to find out more about the couples winning restaurant formula.
Background and Concept
Descend down the inviting steps of the restaurant, open the door and you are immediately greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, jackets are taken to the cloak-room and you are shown to your table dressed in fresh crisp white linen and finished with sturdy silver cutlery. The restaurant’s exposed walls are painted in a rich dark tone, large mirrors open the space up and the fireplace with the many years of dripped candle wax provides a focal point for the room – a cosy night of eating and drinking is in store.
The Menu
The restaurant has A La Carte options as well at a set menu (available Tuesday to Friday). Menu?s are seasonal using fresh local ingredients. We opted for the set menu – £33.95 for three courses, there was also the option of another couple of vegetarian dishes for me to try too.
