The Top 8 Cars from the 2014/2015 Euro Offroad Series Championship
Of course, when we say ?cars?, we mean those miniature, radio-controlled buggies with specialty batteries, motors, and tires that charge around indoor tracks all around the world. Yeah, those ones.
If you?re unfamiliar with the Euro Offroad Series, it?s a stellar 4-round championship of buggy racing, raced by dedicated mechanical gurus who bring their vehicular creations to tracks in four different countries (each round is stationed in a separate country, you see"). Each round is composed of a qualifying race and three legs; the scores earned from the legs are compiled to designate a winner for each round.
The 2014/2015 series, the fourth series of its kind, began in Autumn of 2014 and lasted until Spring of this year. From Slovakia to Poland, specially designed cars lined the tracks and chased the title of 2014/2015 Euro Offroad Series Champion. While a lot fewer than 8 cars went home with trophies, 8 cars are worth talking about.
1. Yokomo ? Lee Martin
The overall 2014/2015 4wd Champion, Lee Martin, stole the trophy with his Yokomo car. The car that placed in so many legs, though, wasn?t always the same buggy. Sure, it looked identical, but Lee chose a Yokomo motor for some races and a Muchmore motor for others. One thing that remained consistent was Martin?s reliance on a PCOTek battery.
