pRahul Misra has been spending time at the Centre Pompidou and itandrsquo;s showing in his work. In a hat tip to the great Van Gogh, we see sunflowers everywhere in his Autumn/ Winter andrsquo;17 offering. Only Van Gogh can say andlsquo;the sunflowers are mineandrsquo; and with this show Misra asks the question if they can be his too./p
pYou even see Paul Cignacandrsquo;s Pine Trees splayed out on a jacket. Misraandrsquo;s collection is bridging the gap between art, craft and fashion. In a single collection Misra likens pointillism to embroidery, references the abstract movement with bold lines and colour blocking and brings together velvet and tartan. A black and white abstract version is also reminiscent of Van Goghandrsquo;s Starry Nights but that could also be too much reading in between the lines./p pThe jackets are long and oversized, the shoulders often bare and the pants are high-waisted. The colour paletter remains neutral save for the yellow/orange of the sunflower. Itandrsquo;s a collection that lets you wear your art on your sleeve./p
