3 things to eat in Maldives
Theluli mas
Theluli mas or spicy fried fish is very common in Maldivian cuisine. The ingredients vary to prepare this fish from island to island. My recipe is a very easy recipe as ?lonumirus curry powder? which is a combination of dried chilies & some spices sold almost in every local shops & it takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. This fish is a must on our dinner & lunch table.
Geri Riha
The geri riha is a plate of beef and curry typical of Maldivian gastronomic tradition; Its recipe is quite simple and the preparation times are all within reach. Maldivian cuisine is based on simple but extremely tasty dishes, where the main elements are fish, coconut, rice and bananas; The main drink is tea, usually very sweet. Typical dishes are quite spicy and spicy, just like the geri riha, which uses the use of curry in leaves and powder and coriander, always in powder; Much chopped is also the chili, which we rarely find in cakes, as strange as it may seem. Although geri riha is not the most representative dish of Maldives, we recommend it for an unusual ethnic dinner between friends or family.
Mas huni
Mas huni is a typical Maldivian breakfast, composed of tuna, onion, coconut, and chili.[2] All ingredients are finely chopped and mixed with the grated meat of the coconut. This dish is usually eaten with freshly-baked roshi flatbread and sweetened hot tea.[1]
