Singer All-Terrain Competition Study Porsche 911
We’ve already shown you 1984 Porsche 911 Safari Off-Road Carrera and today we want to show another example of all-terrain car tuning. Inspired by World Rally Championship cars, Los Angeles-based Singer Vehicle Design has revealed its latest creation: the All-Terrain Competition Study, or ACS for short. Built in collaboration with 911 rally specialist Richard Tuthill, the project was commissioned by a long-term Singer client, and two vehicles were produced, one ? in Singer’s iconic Parallax White ? focused on high-speed desert rallying and a second ? in Corsica Red ? configured for high-speed, high-grip tarmac events. The results are stunning.
Based on a Porsche 964, the ACS feature a ton of modifications that include carbon-fiber body panels designed for easy replacement and extra strengthening to deal with harsh terrain, forged aluminium 8×16? wheels with BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres and dramatically increased ride height and suspension travel with twin, 5-way adjustable dampers per corner.
The permanent all-wheel-drive coupe is powered by an air-cooled, air-cooled 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six that makes at least 450 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque (but can be tuned for higher output), mated to a five-speed sequential transmission which can be shifted manually or via paddles.
