Palazzo Venart, Venice – A Hidden Gem on the Grand Canal
Venice casts a magical spell on all those who visit and one of the most magical places to stay here is Palazzo Venart. A true Venice hidden gem, it’s one of the very rare hotels with a garden overlooking the Grand Canal. We recently enjoyed a stay here, making the most of the central location in Santa Croce to really get to know the city.
First Impressions of Palazzo Venart
You definitely get the wow factor, arriving at the hotel by water taxi to their own private dock. We headed through the stunning gardens to reception.
It is beautifully decorated, with a marble floor and historic frescoes. Check-in was quick and easy and the friendly staff gave us some tips on what to see in Venice. Palazzo Venart offer several interesting experiences, including Damien Hirst in Venice, with tickets to the new exhibition, Treasures From The Wreck Of The Unbelievable. Every room and suite at Palazzo Venart is different but they are all furnished with beautiful antiques. Our suite on the top floor had the most incredible view over the Grand Canal from 3 double windows.
The bed was extremely comfortable thanks to a mattress topper and the very best Egyptian cotton linens.
There were all the mod cons that you need like a safe and complimentary high speed Wi-Fi. There was a separate office area that came in very handy, as well as a comfy sitting room. We loved the complimentary fruit crate with its tangerines and mini bananas.
