Some time ago we’ve told you about the most expensive coffee in the world and for a such expensive sorts you will surely need a special coffee grinder. Weber Workshops already made the most high-end coffee grinder the world has ever seen with the HG-1, but apparently, their team of engineers and designers are never satisfied. So they decided to tear down their flagship grinder and completely redesign and reengineer it to create the HG-2 ? the new world standard for coffee grinders.

The Weber Workshops HG-2 coffee grinder is built around the same 83mm titanium PVD-coated conical Mazzer burr set as its predecessor, but that’s just about all it shares in common with the HG-1. The HG-2 has a 37% smaller footprint ? thanks in part to the new spring-loaded folding handle ? while adding a number of exciting new features. First is the manual transmission gearbox that allows you to switch between gears for optimal torque for whatever kind of bean you’re grinding. Then there’s the optional Magic Tumbler, which incorporates an automated grounds-mixing mechanism into the magnetically-coupled tumbler to ensure that all coffee grounds enter the tumbler with zero overspray. Both the Magic Tumbler and transmission gearbox are brand-new to the world of hand grinders. The HG-2 also adds a magnetic cleaning brush inside the handle, as well as finer grind adjusting.
