Retro Style Harley-Davidson 883 Bobber
Today we want to show you another custom retro bike – tidy Harley-Davidson Sportster bobber, built by Nick Acosta from Augment Collective in Ontario, Canada. “The Harley Davidson Sportster is one of the worlds most popular motorcycles, tracing its roots all the way back to Harley’s Model K in 1952, and is seen constantly in flat track racing. Possibly one of Harley Davidson’s most versatile platforms, this sportster started its life as a daily ridden 1993 XL883, but now it’s a retro style chopper with panhead covers that pays homage to the great chopper builds of the 60’s.”
“Extensive work has been done not only to the powertrain, but also to ensure that the motorcycle can easily handle the aggressive riding that comes with a light and fast engine and frame. Riding stability, cornering capability, rock solid engine performance & dependability are the key focus of this build. All wrapped up in a classic hardtail frame.”
“Riding the motorcycle now is completely different,” Nick says, “and a lot more enjoyable. And the whole build process definitely has made me appreciate the workmanship that goes into chopper building.” And you can check a list of the best vintage motorcycles.
